Stormin of the Sazerac|
The annual Stormin’ of the Sazerac marks the occasion when women, normally admitted to the Sazerac Bar only on Mardi Gras Day, stormed the popular gathering place demanding equality. Ladies are invited to dress in post-war New Orleans style, such as hats, veils, peep-toe shoes and gloves.
“Stormin of the Sazerac” encompasses libations, cuisine and entertainment, including:
A three-course ladies-only luncheon
Complimentary glass of sparkling wine
Pop-up fashion shop provided by Miss Claudia’s Vintage
Juried best-dressed fashion show showcasing vintage 1940s style provided by Miss Claudia’s Vintage
Following the Blue Room festivities, our Reigning Spirit of the Sazerac will lead attendees in a second line to “storm” the world-renowned Sazerac Bar, where the spirited day continues with Sazerac cocktails in-hand.
Doors to the world famous Blue Room open at 1pm, and the celebration begins with the traditional ladies lunch at 1:30pm. Live entertainment will be provided, and the event will feature a fashion show showcasing vintage 1940's style with a best-dressed competition.
Location: Blue Room (200 total capacity)
